Affiliate disclosure

How we earn

BalconySolarHub is reader-supported. We participate in the Amazon Associates programme (UK). When you click a link on this site to amazon.co.uk and subsequently make a qualifying purchase, Amazon pays us a small commission — at no extra cost to you. That commission is how this site stays free to read.

Affiliate links on the site are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and target="_blank" in line with industry best practice. Affiliate links carry our Amazon Associates UK tag (balconysolarh-21). As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.

What we do not do

  • No paid placement. Brands cannot pay to appear in our recommendations.
  • No in-kind review samples. We do not accept free product in exchange for coverage.
  • No “sponsored picks” lists. Our kit recommendations reflect what we think the right buy is for that reader.
  • No display advertising. No banner ads, no programmatic ad networks.
  • No tracking cookies set by us. See privacy notice for the full picture.

How we recommend kits

We pick kits based on:

  1. UK availability — is it actually stocked on Amazon UK or a UK distributor right now?
  2. Amendment 4 compliance — does the inverter respect the 800W AC cap and have type-approved anti-islanding?
  3. Real-world usability — app quality, install footprint, brand support.
  4. Price-to-output ratio — we lead with the cheapest legitimate compliant route, not the highest-commission product.

If a kit gets recommended on the site, it’s for one of those reasons — not because the affiliate commission is fatter.

Amazon Associates programme statement
